| at the doorstep .... | |||
the door is not always open the windows sometimes clouded a mist shrouds the welcome mat yet the wind is not ice the rain not sharp . I hesitate and then brush my feet along the sidewalk past flowers not yet in bloom birds in flight but not song yet color and sound still flourish . I canvass the neighboring streets for a moment to release the freeze holding my heart yet leave the photograph blank for another day . the door is not always open yet I am always invited in Tweet
