Person reviews life.

~Looking Back~

Looking back after the voyage,

I cannot see my name

written on the waves.

My mirror no longer gives back my reflection.

I dwindle to a grain of sand.

.

Perhaps I should have done things differently,

for there are no

moments that I want to go back to.

But I doubt that anything could change.

.

We are cast here in a moment’s passion,

without reason; and, in so many moments,

spend our lives trying to gather a

multitude of questions into a single answer.

But we may be as firmly ordained

as a statue in its concrete base.

.

When I close my eyes

the universe may cease to exist;

but if it does not,

then it was I who was the illusion

and you the reality.
