destroyed. One thing we noticed in particular was their mother's
favorite table. We knew that if she was to stumble upon this rubble,
everybody would be in trouble including the guests, Jamesha and
Sunshine. We got the hot glue gun and did the best we could. In no time
the table looked as if it had not been just destroyed five minutes ago.
When everyone finally sat down after surveying the table Nay's mother
walked through the door. She looked tired and beads of sweat dripped
down her forehead. She pursed her lips as if to say something but
quickly changed her mind. She walked into her room and shut the door.
Through the door we could hear her and Nay conversing about what
happened and seconds later she was standing outside the door glaring at
us.

She turned to Kina, who was the oldest and Nays and Kevin's sister and
said "So what happened?" Kina began to stammer because she knew that if
she told exactly what happened her punishment wouldn't be so lightly as
everyone else's. Their mother., Kia averted her eyes towards me. With a
eye piercing gaze she asked me "Quisia, what happened?" I told her the
whole story while side glancing, waiting for the others reactions. She
scolded us and told us that it was wrong for us to watch as Nay was
severely beat. Then she went to the door of her room as if she was
about to go back in, but closed the door. In one quick move, she cocked
her head back and her shoulders began to bounce like a giddy child. I
couldn't believe it she was laughing. She was laughing at the pain of
her son. Confused, we all joined in on the laughter and soon enough we
was retelling the story the whole night. That night we shared a good
laugh at someone's misery, and somehow i felt a bond with everyone.
This was the greatest experience of my life and it would be retold
countless of times.
