I cannot speak for anybody else; in fact, I have a hard enough time speaking for myself. Thankfully, I have those who have volunteered to speak on my behalf on a variety of issues. This has been good, relieving me the necessity of expressing myself. But,

who are involved in both. I'm tired of hearing about ministers who have
been caught up in the same scandalous web of immorality and greed. Some
people shrug their shoulder and say, "Well, I guess it's just the
American way."

I absolutely object.

Where are the men and women who have integrity in this country? Where
are those who have some semblance of a good conscience? Where are those
who think of others rather than themselves?

As the TV program was concluding my wife and I looked at each other and
sighed rather deeply. We both knew what each other was thinking. After
40 years of marital bliss, we have come to know one another rather
well. Actually, she knows me better than I even know myself.

In spite of all the problems in our country the real problem is that we
have too much of everything. The average person in America is bored to
death and looking for ways to spice up their life. In this feverish,
nervous condition, people are looking outward to be dazzled and
thrilled. And the next thrill has to be bigger and better and more
spectacular than the previous thrill.

I absolutely object.

I long for those peaceful days of contentment and inner satisfaction.
Maybe it's my age, maybe it's because I have been married for a long
time, but nothing really beats the quietness of a life contented with
what I have.

That was the advice that the apostle Paul gave. "Not that I speak in
respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am,
therewith to be content" (Philippians 4:11 KJV).

To be content with what you have is to have all you need.
