Click here to read the first 75 lines of the story word of God , and pappy your bible must say the same thing, and here you two are both claiming to know the way of God, and both are breaking the commandment of God arguing over the truth, I have listen to you two argue since I was big enough to hoe corn, and it's high time this stopped between the two of you, Now you both claim you want to be a good influence on me , and I do believe you really do, well to start with do to that would you please listen to me and listen to good reason, now here is the reasons to come together and be as one as the lord would have married folks, I love the both of you the same and that is the way the lord is about you and pappy he love the both of you , can't you see that I said” Now if you two have any faith at all in God you'll listen to me and come together as one, and then we can hoe corn in peace and harmony , and by the way I have read some on the Bible and I know that God does look on the heart, what God wants to see in hearts is pity and mercy and goodness and certainly not division , now you all should take what I have told you and apply it to your life and hearts Now paw lay down that hoe and come and hug Mammy and mammy you do the same, and stop all this foulness , you both need go to each other church dividing the Sundays and that will please God to see you all , it don't mean that you have given the church of your choice up , it will cause folks to see you all joined as one like your suppose to be as married folks, After these words I spoke to them, paw laid his hoe down and mammy laid hers down and they meet in the middle of a corn row and embraced' my word has hit home in both their hearts, and it please me so to witness this, I love them both the same, and sometimes a man just has to speak his peace, After they embraced paw said son I am proud of you for what you spoke to us, we both needed someone to correct us and you made us see our problem, and I promise you this never again will you hoe corn with us and hear is argue about our church , what you have said makes more sense that all the arguing we have had in the past, what is mean is this that God wants men and woman everywhere to get along and accept one another's differences , I think son that you preached us the best message we both ever heard and done it on this old hot corn fields , mammy come and hugged me and said son thanks for straighten your paw and I out , We hoe corn again on another day and not a word or augment was ever started against them ever again, on Sunday paw attended the little goose holiness church with maw and the next Sunday to come Mammy attends the little good hard shell Baptist church. Its' sure good to hoe corn with my folks now and enjoy the sweetness of quiet between them, and the words of my beloved departed grandma come to my mind , the lord does work in mysterious ways....
