I got the idea for this piece from two places. The first one from a writing group who's challenge was to write a poem on change. The other from a license plate frame with this one it. Please let me know what you think.

~

The man's name was Noah.

A man of great faith.

Was given a promise,

By the father of rainbows.

The promise was God would never destroy,

The Earth with water again.

The rainbow is a sign of change.

~

The woman's name is Lori.

A woman of little faith.

Is given a promise,

By the man who died for her.

The promise is Eternal life.

The world is her oyster.

The cross is a sign of change.

~

The Ark saved Noah.

When there was nothing else,

Noah built an ship.

The ark was his lifeline.

It was his way of changing the world.

~

The Cross saved Me.

When there was nothing else,

Jesus saved me by dying.

He was spread on a dogwood tree,

So I might live.

He's my lifeline.

This is my way of changing the world.
