pale and weak and coughing his head off. It was sorrowful to see him on 
such ill shape, I recalled paw word about what would befall Tom turning 
the lord down on helping fix the lord house.. Tom was glad to see us 
and he seemed so different now he was not the same Tom we new he was 
humble and Told mammy he wanted her to have all his money and land and 
Gold , and he told paw he was a might sorry for being so greedy and now 
he was paying for his sins threw death by consumption. Tom sign some 
papers that entitled Maw to his fortune and Maw thanks him and kiss her 
sick brother.....Sister I haven't been a good brother to you and all 
and now that I have seen the way I have lived my life . Would you pray 
that God would give me another chance to maybe make thing right Tom 
Begged.” yes sure says Maw and I promise you that you will be buried in 
our family plot on the ridge above where we was raised up together as 
brother and sister.. We leaf after maw and Tom had said there words to 
each other and it was sad riding home thinking about Tom and him going 
to die soon.. It went on and another month passed and we had a man on a 
mule from town come to our shack and he was Doctor wells the county 
doctor here in muddy fork, and he had good new to bring.  He asked to 
speak to maw and she come out in the yard before him and he told her 
that he had called Tom sickness wrong and it was not consumption but 
asthma and that he would live a long life with doctor help at times.  
Maw thank God before the doctor and shouted Glory to God and give many 
thanks and shouted aloud .. Paw smiled and also seem happy that Tom was 
going to live .  The doctor rode away smiling and happy that we was 
made happy.. Tom life change for the better he quit the drinking  and 
started attending the new Little goose church house ,mammy had bought 
with Gold money, things are up to snuff around these part for sure, Maw 
paid for Tom a brand new shack made with choice lumber , and Tom has 
fallen in love with a widow saint over at the little Goose chapel 
church and plans to be married after a little spell of church courting 
and paw has put new fences all around our whole sixty acre track,, and 
maw Bought me the best looking horse in Muddy fork County... sometime 
our gracious God has to put us on our knees to get our 
attention.....God bless this Story in Jesus Christ name I ask,..and
