and other things on my mind, 

not here, 

not now, 

who cares? 

As she lies and spreads her legs, one knee against my crotch, one
against the ground or blanket underneath rolled up, no rocks or roots 
underneath, she wasn't cold or anything. 

I could've stared into her eyes 

and seen the stars, 

like a pane of glass, 

making her empty 

and meaningless, nothing 

beside me, nothing 

warming me, 

as I live alone 

on a speck 

as a speck.
