Angela,

I have never met a person such as you. Your work ethic, pride and
honesty are things I've admired. If there were a few more people like
you in this world, it wouldn't be such a bad place to live. I hope you
and your son enjoy your Christmas. Just think of the money as a bonus
for all your hard work.

My secretary is leaving after the first of the year and it would make me
proud if you would consider taking her place.

Merry Christmas

John

Christmas morning came with the smell of turkey in the oven, mixed with
the scent of pine needles throughout the small apartment.

Bobby looked up at his mom and said, “I finally got my Christmas
present.”

“What is that,” she asked.

He responded proudly, “You're smiling”.
