Click here to read the first 75 lines of the story “Doc, when can the baby go home?” John asked. “Tomorrow, most likely,” Dr. Sigma replied. John walked back to Rebecca. “When can we take her home?” Rebecca asked. “Most likely tomorrow,” John replied. John's phone started ringing, and John picked up. “Hello,” John said. “Come to the autopsy room,” Dr. Marcos said. “On my way,” John said. John kissed Rebecca then he went to the autopsy room. “Doc, what did you find out?” John asked. “Well, several things. See these marks on her shoulders?” Dr. Marcos asked. “Yes,” John replied. “Her boyfriend, or father, beat her, but the biggest surprise is how she died,” Dr. Marcos said. “How did she die?” John asked. “You are not going to believe this, but she drowned,” Dr. Marcos replied. “Drowned? How?” John asked. “Well, there is two ways one, someone poured water in her mouth, and put a pillow over her face. Two, is she drowned in her bathtub, or a swimming pool, then she was placed in her bed,” Dr. Marcos replied. “Thanks, doc,” John said. John left the autopsy room, and he called Rico. “Hello,” John said. “John, what did you find out?” Rico asked. “Victim number four drowned,” John replied. “Drowned? That is a surprise. But not as big as who her boyfriend is,” Rico said. “Who?” John asked. “Joseph Marcus,” Rico replied. “Not him. Well, thanks,” John said. John hung up then he went back to Rebecca. “Let's go home,” John said. “No, not without her,” Rebecca cried. “If we go home then you can go to sleep. The longer you are asleep the faster time will go by,” John said. Rebecca slowly walked to the car. Rebecca cried all the way to home. Rebecca turned on the water, and John turned on the TV. Every news channel was talking about the murders. John heard the bathroom door shut then the phone started ringing. “Hello,” John said. “John, we are going to talk to Joseph Marcus. Do you want to come?” Rico asked. “I am on my way,” John replied. John walked to the bathroom door and he knocked. “Honey, I am going to talk to a suspect. Will you be okay by yourself?” John asked. “Yes, go and do your job,” Rebecca replied. John left, and he pulled out of the driveway. Rebecca left the bathroom, and she picked up the phone. She called her mother. “Mom, can you and dad come?” Rebecca asked. “Sure, dear, we will be there in two hours,” Mother replied. “Thank you,” Rebecca said. Rebecca hung up, and Rebecca started crying. John walked into the living room, and he sat down. Rico sat in a chair near John, and Joseph sat on a couch across from John. “Joseph, do you know anyone who wanted to kill her?” Rico asked. “No, everyone loved her,” Joseph replied. “Joseph, why did you kill her?” John asked. “I love her, and I would whether die then kill her,” Joseph replied. “We are sorry to bug you,” Rico said. They left the house. “John, what are you thinking?” Rico asked. “He killed her I know he did,” John replied. “Tell me why he did it?” Rico asked. “That I do not know,” John replied. “John, go home, and get some sleep. You need it,” Rico said. John drove home, and he entered the house. Rebecca was sitting next to Macy (Rebecca's mother), and Rebecca walked over to John. John kissed his wife then she wrapped her arms around John. Then she hid her face in his chest. “What is wrong?” John asked. “The doctor called he said we can pick up the baby,” Rebecca replied. “Let's go and get her,” John said. “Mom, we will be back soon,” Rebecca said. They left for the hospital. The nurse gave the baby to Rebecca, and Rebecca started crying. They went back to the car. “What should we name her?” Rebecca asked. “What about Crystal?” John replied. “What about Helena?” Rebecca asked. “If that is what you want,” John replied. Rebecca walked into the living room, and she sat down. John walked into the bedroom, and he turned on the computer. Rebecca put her hands on John's shoulders. “Let's go to bed,” Rebecca whispered into John's ear. “I have a lot of work to do,” John said. Rebecca walked over to the bed, and she layed down. She then started crying herself to sleep. John could not stand in. He turned off the computer, and he climbed into bed. “Honey, you can stop crying,” John said. Rebecca rolled over, and she looked into his eyes. “John, I keep having the same nightmare,” Rebecca said. John kissed Rebecca. “Everything will be okay,” John said. “Just think about it in eight months I will have my child,” Rebecca said. “I cannot wait, just tell me about your nightmare,” John said. “I would go to the tub, and I put my child in it. The baby would start to sink to the bottom, and the water turned to blood. I felt for the baby in the tub then I would drain the water, and at the bottom is a skeleton. Then I would look at my stomach, and I was covered in blood,” Rebecca said as she started crying. John kissed Rebecca. Rebecca could not sleep, but John was snoring his head off. Rebecca climbed out of bed, and she went to Helena's room. Rebecca saw something moving outside, and she ran over to the window. The window was opened, and she saw someone running off. Rebecca looked into the crib, and it was empty. “JOHN,” Rebecca screamed. John and Macy ran into the room. “What is it?” John asked. “I saw someone outside, and I checked the crib. And it is empty,” Rebecca replied. “Come on and get dressed,” John said. John picked up the phone, and he called Rico. “Hello, Rico,” John said. “John, what is it?” Rico asked. “There has been a kidnapping,” John replied. “Where?” Rico asked. “At my house, now meet me at Joseph Marcus's house I solved the case,” John replied. John and Rebecca climbed into the car, and John drove to Joseph's house. Rico, Rebecca, and John entered the house. “What are you doing here?” Joseph asked. “In due time, but first why not tell us where the baby is?” John asked. “I do not know what you are talking about,” Joseph said. “Okay, fine then. Now, Rico, he killed the Sanchez family. Why? It starts back in nineteen ninety-five when your girlfriend announced that she was pregnant, but she was not. But the M.A.R. was going to give you a small sum of money that was going, but since they found out your girlfriend was pregnant they for some reason decided not to give you the money. So, you killed her, and your finally convince M.A.R. to give you the money. They would have if your girlfriend did not become pregnant before you two got married. So, you decided to end her life like before. Friday, September 28 at exactly two forty-five you sneaked into the house, and you killed the father on the stairs with a knife. You then reached your bag, and pulled out an ax. Then you go into the master bedroom, and you killed the mother. Then you went to the boy's room, and you stabbed him in the chest with a butcher knife. After that you started getting butterflies, and you go to your girlfriends room. You kill the sister, and you realized you screwed up. You woke the girl, and you two started arguing. You grabbed her shoulder, and squeezed her shoulder real hard. Your hand slipped, and she hit the bedpost. This made a small crack on her skull, and they would have known she was murdered. So, you take a glass, and you filled it with water. You took two small plastic tubes, and carefully pushed them down her throat into each lung. Then you poured the water, and the lungs filled. Everyone would have thought she would have gone into labor, but this would have coast her to miscarry. Filling her lungs with a liquid, and with what you thought was the perfect murder. But thanks to one cop he accidentally touched your girlfriend, and felt that her stomach was warm. They took her to the hospital, and they cut her open. The baby lived, but this threw a wrench into your plans. So, you kidnapped the baby after you found who adopted her,” John said. “You cannot prove any of it,” Joseph said. “Oh, but I can. I contacted your friends at M.A.R., and they said they would gladly tell us everything you have been doing for the past ten years,” John said. “Joseph Marcus, you have the right to remain silence. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law,” Rico said. “Wait, Rico. Tell me Joseph where is the baby?” John asked. “I have the right to remain silence,” Joseph replied. Rebecca walked over to the stairs, and started to go up the stairs. Joseph ran over to Rebecca, and he grabbed her wrist. John ran over to Joseph, and he grabbed his wrist. He twisted Joseph's wrist. “Never, and I mean NEVER, ever touch my wife,” John said. John punched Joseph in the mouth, and Joseph's mouth made a loud cracking noise. Rebecca and John ran up the stairs, and they started searching for Helena. In the last room they searched was dark, and lined with gothic statues. The room was light with only candles, and they walked to the other side of the room. There was an altar, and on it layed Helena. Above the baby was a knife tied to a string. Above the knife was a ax swinging back-and-forth cutting the thread that was holding the knife. John ran over to Helena, and the ax cut through the string. John grabbed Helena right before the knife landed on the altar. Rebecca ran over to John, and, of course, she was crying her eyes out. “Let's go home,” John said. They slowly walked down the stairs, and to the car. Rebecca put Helena in her crib and she layed down. John was all ready snoring his head off, and Rebecca turned off the lamp. She shut her eyelids, and she did not have the nightmare. Rebecca woke up, and she could not get out of bed. “John,” Rebecca screamed. John ran into the room and over to Rebecca. “What is it?” John asked. “Help me get out of bed,” Rebecca replied. “I want to, but doctor's orders,” John said. Rebecca crossed her arms. “But I can bring the TV. into here, and we can watch it together,” John said. “That would be nice, but first can you bring me Helena?” Rebecca asked. “Your mom is taking care of Helena,” John replied. John walked into the living room, and he picked up the TV. He carried it to the bedroom, and he plugged it in. He layed down next Rebecca. Rebecca grabbed John's hand, and she put it on her stomach. “Feel the baby moving?” Rebecca asked. “Yes,” John replied. John kissed Rebecca. “I love you,” Rebecca said. “I love you, too,” John said.
