Hello, this is my second submission, and I am still writing it. I heavily want feedback so please email me. This is the story of the forces of eternity against the breakers of time, and a resurrection in the future stemming from the past. | |||
Click here to read the first 75 lines of the story ball in a ball so tight, nothing could either enter or escape and hurled it at Jimmy who screamed, and went straight through the crowds and his back slammed into the brick wall. He lay unconscious, his limp form spurting blood from all over. The crowd immedietly stopped cheering for who they wanted to win and fell into a hushed silence, and stayed entranced for a period of about 3 seconds then snapped out of it and half then surrounded Mike and started at him in awe, with a new found respect. The rest ran towards Jimmy's dieing form. What the fuck happened, what have I done, shit he is fucking dieing, I have to do something. He prodded his way through the crowds to Jimmy's slumped form. Damn, he did look fucked. He placed his hands on his head, and then light seemed to stream out of his hands, into the dieing body, infusing it with life, zappings its channeler of his strength. Mike then passed out, as light overcame him... _______________________________________________________________________ Chapter 2- The realization Mike awoke in the nurse's office, tired as hell, and feeling like shit. He had no recollection of what happened. Shit, I feel fucked. He turned his head to the left, and saw Jimmy, perfectly healthy. It then came back to him like a torment. How can this be, his nose was cracked in two, his right ear had been hanging off his face, his hair was burned, and his legs were inside out before. What the fuck did I do, I touch his head, and poof he is better. "Oh good, both of you are awake. That was a nasty fall you two took. Strange, it was in the same place in the hall outside my office. We are having it fixed as we speak. You two passed out for quite a bit." said the school nurse. What the fuck? We didn't fall, we kicked each other's asses. Well, better play it like this for now, can't get suspended for a trip. "Oh yes nurse, it was a nasty fall. Have them fix that tile immedietly. I still dont feel so good, so is it alright if I go home." Asked Mike "Sure, I already called your mom. Your free to go." Mike, arose from his sitting position, and proceeded to test his legs, which before were battered to the point of no recognition. The signs of any duress suffered on his part of Jimmys were non-existant. He decided to further test out his theory, or knowledge as it was seemingly becoming, that what had happened had been forgotten. "Hey Jimmy, were still cool right?" "Uh, sure whatever you say dude. Hey nurse I need to go, my girlfriend is waiting for me outside." Mike picked up his belongings and proceeded towards the locker area, but then remembered he had never made it as far as obtaining a locker that afternoon. So he walked to the parking lot instead, opened up the door to his 93 Chrysler Le Baron, red convertible, started the engine and left. On the drive home Mike's mind was a plethora of emotions. One on side of the spectrum he was glad he did not get his ass kicked, well that he was not hurt, and the other was bewilderment. First I get a strange feeling of energy welling up in me and I "pushed" it at Mike and it decimated him, and then I seemingly place my hands on his head and we bouth walk away without a scratch, except for this fucking headache. His head was throbbing like there was a mining operation going on inside with a frenzy that led him to believe they were trying to mine more gold than there was the world in one minute inside his head. Luckily, his house was the next left. Mike turned his blinker on, waited at the light, and made a left turn, and then a right into his driveway, shut off the car, and exited, and then entered the house to find a note for his mother: "I heard you were not feeling well today, so here is $10 for dinner. I unfortunately will be out of town for the next week on a business trip. I should hopefully be in NY within 5 hours, its a quasi-long flight from here in AZ. Your in charge, dont do anything stupid or I will have to rethink the privelages I grant you. Not most others would trust their 17 year old sons to be alone in the house for a week, but you have earned it with your actions. Have a nice week. I will call you when I have a chance."- Mom Just fucking great, she's gone again, she's gone more than she is here. What a mom. She didn't even remember to leave me money for the rest of the week. $10 will not provide much substinence for a week. Ring! Ring!, Figuring it was his mother calling to give him her credit card numbers because she forgot to leave him money, he walked to the phone and picked up the receiver. Before he even had a chance to greet the caller, the words "It has begun. Rise to the future and bring the past" were said, and then the caller hung up. Mike went to go and check the caller id, but it was on fire. He quickly ran and got the fire extinguisher and quenched the flames. First that, and now this, maybe I need to get some sleep. Mike walked up the stairs, deposited himeslf on the bed, and joined the realm of the non-awake. But something awry happened, like none before. A woman dressed in red, 5"9, golden light blonde hair flowing to 2 inches past her shoulders, green eyes, legs supple, and long, and a complexion that radiated the sun. This was the most beautiful women he had ever seen. And to add to that, he did not feel like he was sleeping, he felt more alive than he had ever, yet he thought it had to be a dream, for he had not yet arisen from his bed. But it's so real, more real than being awake. He found himself facing the woman who was dressed in a tight red outfit, clinging to every inch of her body below her neck, down to her ankles, with slits on her legs running down the sides. How he yearned to touch. But he could not move. "You are probably wondering why you are here, who I am, what I am, and where you are." Chimed the woman of beauty. "Well allow me to explain, some, not all, more will come with time. I am Jesatt. You are on a bridge between the realm of existence, and the keep of non-existance. Here, times does not exist. This room is a representation of time. Look around the room, and tell me what you see." Jesett prodded Mike glanced, and was amazed at what he saw, actually didn't see. There was neither a begging nor ending to the room. It was a room of whiteness. No floor existed, but he still felt one, "First off lady, what the fuck are you talking about the realm of whatever and the keep of nothing? And how come I not falling through the sky, there is no frigging floor. And in answer to your question, I see a room with neither a beggining or an ending. Sounds like something out of a Robert Jordan Wheel of Time book. "There are neither begginings nor endings to the wheel of time" or something to that degree. It this a dream, or is this a sci-fi book come to life.?" Chided Mike. Jesatt laughed racuosly as if Mike had said a very funny joke. "Listen here, you will learn to respect me and I will learnt to respect you, we must for the sake of what was and what is yet to come. What you see is a representation of time, like Jordan's wheel of time, I know all knowledge of what has happened, more on that later. There is much I know. I know who killed your father, and why he was killed. Oh you have much to learn. But I will start with the basics. This room is a representation of time. There is no beggining because time has always just simply existed, and there is no ending because time will not end, or will not, that is why you are here. There is only so much I can do right now. I can show you the end of what was. Jesatt walked over to Mike and placed her hands on his head, and he was transported to another reality, another time, another place, the past, the truth: _______________________________________________________________________ The Time had come. Etheras, the evil esteemed has arisen to power in the services of the enders. His full being encompassed the power of the enders, he was a focal point. He had secured a planet, planet earth, and made it his home base for his operations, which were to commence in one year to end time, and what was. He had taken control of all, except for one planet. The home base of the Esteemed, the magic wielders who tapped Unity, the driving force of the universe, of all creation. The Balance never acted the same, but in this period of time, instead of lowering one sides power after another's rose, it just kept rising the other. The period of peace which had lasted for 60 million years under the guiding hands of the Council of the Esteemed was to end. It had ended. War had torn planets and galaxies. A last ditch attack, was to be made. Etheras, and his planet., Earth were to be assaulted. The last 200 remaining Esteemed, and the last remants of the Army of Eternity were to be involved. The anxiety reached its final climatic point, and after passing through the non-existant air defenses of the Planet Earth Why would he have no orbital defenses for spacecraft, surely he would know we would attack, thought Jehann, the landing crafts landed. The 50,000 marines disembarked. They lined up in formations, in lines of 10, creating a line 2.5 miles long of only men and women, who were most likely going to die trying to save what was from destruction. Wearing a black coat, with the designs of broken clocks on his bodice, he raised his hands, and channeled a bit of Unity so that his vocie would be elevated so that all could hear. In rumbling tones he spoke these words. "You have played straight into my hands, you are clay molded by my desires. My current desires is to stomp you flat, and perish every last one of you. You have no hope. Your effort is futile. Run and live while you can, or prepare to die." Decreed Etheras. "Forces of eternity, CHARGE! Prepare to die Etheras." Screamed Jehann. Jehann, a male that appeared to be about 23 years in age, stood resplendant in his Garb of the Esteemed. A silver bodice that fit smugly on his figure, showing off most of his assets. It acted as a focus point for Unity, and as armor. It helped the body heal itself, and was most importantly, a symbol of the power of Unity, and had a disc design, that swirled on each arm, a symbol of what the Esteemed stood for, Eternity. Once a member of the Co-council of the Esteemed with Etheras, the tides had turned. Etheras was now pure chaos. The marines charged, their silver and green body armor making them look like rocks reflecting the sun. About halfway towards Etheras, they split their ranks as the forces of Etheras came to combat them and charged. A huge volley of laser cannon was fired, splitting through the ranks of Ethera's forces, til none remained. They then started the charge on Etheras himself, but ran into a non-existant wall. Etheras raised his hands, and lightning cascasded down upon the marines who tried to run back and reform their ranks, but they were seemingly trapped in a box, until not a soul survived. ______________________________________________________________________ W ith the word charge, Garsh led his troops forward at full speed into the ranks of Ethera's followers. They were only to be a diversion though. A s the word "Split!" was yelled into the intercom, he led his ranks to th e right as he felt the white hot fire of laser cannon to his left decima ting the ranks of the Forces of Etheras. What glory in this battle. Bein g the child of a military general for a father, and a high ranking estee med for a mother, he finally had a chance to prove his honor. Even his d eath would result in glory. He would go down in the history books for sa ving what is. Forward he went along with his troops, and ran into a ston e wall. That stone wall was air, there was nothing there, he ran into it again, and flew backwards ten feet. He took out his energy pistol and f ired a round, and ducked just in time to get out of the way of the refle cted shot, who mortally wounded a marine behind. As he stared in disbeli ef at the bits of blown brain and blood on the ground next to him, all h is misconceptions about war left him. War is not glory. This is not glor y. We are all going to die. We are pigs to the butcher. Eternity be prai sed. Those were his final thoughts as lightning came cascading down amon g his ranks, killing all in its path. His remants of a legion tried to r etreat, but they ran into another wall of air blocking their path. They all sunk to their knees and prayed for salvation, for the world's salva tion. Who knew what was to come. _______________________________________ _____________________________ The first attack having obviously failed, Plan B was put into action. 40 esteemed walked forward forming a column, and creating individual barriers to protect themselves and those behind them. If this failed, there was only one last hope, Jehann, and the Enh ancer of Might. The barriers were erected, and the remaing 160 esteemed formed in columns of four behind their protectors, and linked. Terann wa s to be in control. Reqlinquish your powersr to be my brothers and siste rs. We must combine our might. FOR ETERNITY. What shall come to pass is what will be. What happens here determines what will be, or what will no t be. Relinquish your fear, and in its wake, feel calm. We are a river, and we are about to hit a waterfall. Be brave my family. With their powe rs linked and Terran leading the link, he struch out at Etheras, a huge bolt of lightning shaped like a spear. He cut it as if it were a toothpi ck. She then formed a lance of light and hurled it straight at Etheras, but laughingly he raised a shield with the symbol of a broken clock on i t and deflected it. Fire gushed forth from him, cutting down half of the members of the group, going through the shields like they were wood. __ __________________________________________________________________ Fooli sh children.... thought Etheras. They cannot defeat me. I am the last be ing on this side of the Balance, and thus I have the full force of the b reakers of time behind me. Death is upon them. No more toying with them. ___________________________________________________________________ All attacks were failing thought Terran. There is nothing more that can be done, except for this. He had not wished for it to come to this, but wha t must be done, must be done. Drawing up his life source, his mana, and those of everyone around him, he combined it with Unity into a sword of Light, unsheasthed it from its scabbard and prepared to dance death wit h Etheras. He swiped and etheras raised his shield and countered, side s wiped, and cut into the champion of Eternity. He gushed darkness from hi s wound, but proceeded unhampered, and attemped a stab at Ethera's chest . Etheras side-stepped, and beheaded the creature, and all members of th e Esteemed thought their final thoughts and perished into oblivion. ____ ________________________________________________________________ The att ack has failed Jehann. We gave our lives, our souls, and our honor, but we died a glorious death. Be neither hasty or slow in your quest. Be ste adfast. The forces of Eternity are on your side. Do not forget us my bro ther and lord protecor. And with that it was done. He was the only livin g being left, besides Etheras. He encompassed all the forces of Eternity , while Etheras contained all those of chaos. An exact even match. Jehan n took out a small gem on a headband and placed it on his forehad. The E nhancer of Might, with the inscription: Call upon me when needed, And I will answer the call when heeded 'The time has come, darkness and light are upon us Etheras." screamed Jehann in rage at Etheras. "Join me Jehan n and know bliss like none before. You do not realize the power of the B reakers. We can reconstruct what is into our own dark image. Join me, or die!" "Never." And with those words Jehann lashed out, suprising Ethera s with his strength. They were equals though, both of them having equal weights on each side of the balance. Jehann slashed and Etheras countere d. It was clear that victory was not imminent for either party. But Jeha nn was starting to lash out with anger, and losing his focus. He knew he would lose if he did not concentrate on the task at hand. He must be in a state of level-headed coolness. But he could not. There was only one option left. He stopped his attack and prepared a shield that would last for less than a second, and then Etheras would batter through it, and i n that second, he prepared the ultimate weapon of discord to cast upon b oth himself and Etheras, and locked the two of them in a prison of time, not to escape until Eternity permitted it. "I will rise again and compl ete what I started. You are a fool, you are only delaying the ineviatabl e. I have eternity to end eternity." laughed Etheras hysterically. "And I will be there to combat you all the way your evilness, farebad for now ." _____________________________________________________________________ __ And thus it ended. Mike felt himself leaving the scene. His body aros e, went through the heaves, and through the hells. Bliss and torture wer e on both sides. Seemingly combined, seemingly apart. The evil stood out like red hot fire, and the Unity as a blue line. The combination of the two had both colors, each constantly changing to the other. He went to tap it, and he felt heat. His face became scorched. But he delved deeper til it was within his grasp. His reality then switched to another scene . ______________________________________________________________________ _ The Time has come. The time of prosperity, and a time where civilizati on has advanced to a stage of peace, through a united alliance. But alli ances don't always stand. Their legs with age go weak and frail, and los e their muscular appearance, and even before that, while they may have b een legs of splendor at one time, become common. And with this commoness comes the forgetfullness of what once was, and what it took to bring ci vilization to where it was, and what more it will take to bring it to wh ere it will be. The forecast for the future is not always known, but man y say it is to be rather turbulent, but whats said is not always true. T he world is dominated by wielders of Unity. It is this force that drives creation and has sowed the so many benefits for mankind. Some, though f ew in numbers, are able to tap it, though they differ in strenghts and t heir abilities. Jehann is one, and Etheras is another. Chapter 1 of the Beggining. The procession drummed it ways through the streets of a material resembling glass, yet non-transparent, stronger, and less slick. The secrets of its making were only known by The Esteemed, the wielders of Unity, the Alliance, led by the guiding hands of its councils Jehann and Etheras. "My Lord, we approach the Keep of the Esteemed" "Thank you for the notice. I do not know why we have to do this everytime, ride around in our A-G Transports. It would be much easier on us to open a rift in space and jump through it. These cheering crowds jar my head. Alas that is the price for power." "Ahh, yes my lord. Will that be all?" "No, one last thing Miscar, the servants are often said to be the eyes and ears of a palace. There have been rumors afloat that Etheras is up to his evil doings once more" That evil Esteemed, he already tried to take over once. If he tries again... "None that I know of my liege" "I still remember what havoc he wrecked when he split the world into two factions last time. Yet, our agreement we created to end the fighting spared his life and the world from destruction. I hope we do not have another war. What shall come to pass is what will be. He is a being of chaos, and I am being of order. Strife seperates those two, but true power comes from the joining of the two, but few can attain the status as a master-wielder of both order and chaos. Its like has not been seen in about 60 million years, the beggining of our prosperity. For it was the merging of order and chaos originally that molded us to what we are today." The AG car slows to a gentle lull, and in due time, comes to a complete stop, and its passengers proceed to exit and stand upon the surface of the Path of the Esteemed. As instant cheer arose from the crowds standings along its sides hoping to catch a quick glimpse of those held in high regard. All these years and I still cannot overcome the sheer awe inspired within me from just a simple glance at the Keep of the Esteemed in all its grandeur, and to think Etheras almost destroyed it once. The Keep of the Esteemed was composed of the same surface as that of the roads, and represented the sheer power of the Esteemed. Some have gone as far to think this is where The Esteemed draw their power from. Simpletons.... It stood an innumerable number of stories in the sky, so high that none dared guess its height. Wider and longer than any castle, it seemed to never end to the naked eye of the hoi polloi. Leading up to its gates, were a series of 10 steps about ten times as long as a man, and 1 foot high. Standing in the middle was Etheras with his personal assisant Nimsha. Jehann stepped cautiously out of the AG car and slowly approached his Co-council. If I could only rid this evil, and his groveling, ass-kissing "personal" assisant, the tramp Nimsha. She has slept with more men than I have have used my power. Well not quite that much.... He is too strongly supported. But I sense a force surrounding him that I cannot place. Couild it be pure chaos? No, that was closed from the world at the beggining of time, sealed in a tomb of Unity, only able to be tapped through the use of Unity, limiting its power, but does it still hold? What shall come to pass is what will be. "Allow me my lord co-council, protector of what is sacred, and timeless, to convey my greetings from his highness..." His highness..? What has gone on since I have been gone? "protector of the Keep of the Esteemed, Holder of the mysticals, Guardian of What is, and what will be, Etheras." said the beautfiul Nimsha. She is quite beauitful, especially garbed in the typical attire of The Esteemed, a skin-tight uniform that serves as an outer layer of protection and focal point for one's drawing and casting of Unity. Hair the color of honey, long muscular legs, and eyes of a color that seemed to flicker between blue and silver and gold. Starnding at 5'5, she was not the tallest women he had ever met, but certainly one of the most desirable and voluptuos. Oh, his evilness, I almost forgot about him. "Your highness??? Etheras, what has come to be in this new wake? Certain agreements were made, and are to stand. I think we need to retire to a place containing fewer eyes and ears. Miscus you may leave now." started Jehann "Yes my lord." replied subservient Miscus, and Nimsha, rushed to join him, a little too quickly not to tickle Jehann's curiosity. Perhaps she feels Miscus is a path of power to me, I wonder what information she is requesting in "exchange", I will have to be more careful in my words for now on. "Co-Council Jehann, I believe that would be wise of course, but there are more pressing duties, such as the debriefing of the pertinent information from your journeys to the other members of the Alliance." said Etheras "I believe that would be wise. Shall we depart so that I may first retire to my chambers for a short respite and period to cleanse myself from my past toiles?" Retorted Jehann. "I believe that can be accomondated to appease the desires of the members of the Alliance. And so it was that the wielder retired to his chambers, in preperation of what was to come. _______________________________________________________________________ Further, the pain was overwhelming. Still he persisted. He felt an icy coolness down his spine, and burns forming where his hair should be. Fuck, if Jehann can do it, then so fucking can I. He reached a barrier, in his mind, held together by knots in threads. He fumbled to grasp the knots, but they were slippery like oil, and he could not get a grip. But the thought that a chain is only as strong as its weakest link floated in his mind from some outside source. His strenght was draining, but once again, just as he had felt in the fight with Jimmy, he felt an external source of energy. He slammed the force against the barrier, but it did not budge. He then formed it into a knife sharp enough to cut a diamond. He started slaahing it against the chain, and managed to cut them through, one by one, until none persisted and he simply "attracted" the barrier towards him, and the damn broke. Knowledge of the past saturated his mind. He saw it, He saw it all.... _______________________________________________________________________ Tweet
