realise how much she took for granted in life, the sounds of the planes
flying over head, the birds as they flew. She took notice of people
around her as they went about thier own business.

She wanted to scream at the kids in the park as they skateboarded,
laughing at juvenille jokes. She was filled with grief for the loss of
so many innocent lives. Over and over again the news showed the events
as they unfolded, unable to take it any longer Karen shut the
television off.

Lee contacted Karen later that afternoon, both were tired and
emotionally exhausted. Neither comprehending or understanding how so
much hatred could engulf people. Karen and Lee talked as they
struggled with trying to understand what happened. Karen's friend Dave
had an uncle that worked at the WTC, devestation hit home for her. She
cried for him, and his family for thier loss. The terror that attacked
the Americans homeland struck home for many Canadians. As sad as it
was, life went on for everyone around the world.

Karen wiped her eyes with the back of her hand, and she glanced at the
photos that Lee had sent to her. She had only three pictures of Lee,
two of which were in the living room and one in her bedroom where he
would be the first person she seen in the morning and the last she
would see before she went to sleep in hopes of meeting him in slumber.

She then grinned with the recollection of the steam mail she had sent to
Lee. For her it was a way to release the sexual energy she had built
up over the months, and not to mention that Lee himself too enjoyed her
writings, in fact as at times obviously so as he would say.

She recalled the email she sent to him with a fantasy of how thier
meeting would possibly take place, and did her best to recreate thier
shared fantasy on the day they met.

October 2001

Karen got ready and was filled with extreme nervousness as the hour drew
near before she had to leave for the airport. Karen had hired a
limousine in which to pick up Lee from the airport. She had prepared a
small assorted deli tray in case Lee didn't eat. She instructed her
son to light the candles about half an hour after she left for the
airport.

Filled with anxiety, the doorbell rang as the limousine's chaffeur had
arrived to pick her up. Seated in the backseat, she figited with her
suede skirt, wishing that she would have changed again into something
else. She had a glass of wine and soon saw the airport lights, quickly
she drained the glass filling it up again. Laughing to herself, she
thought no, this just will not do, getting hammered and meeting him as
she downs another glass. "Oh god oh god oh god," she muttered. The
driver opened the back door and checked in on her. He knew this was
their first time meeting and was looking forward to seeing them
together. He wondered in his own mind how two people who have never
met before other than through emails and phone calls, take the bull by
the horns and take that risk.

Karen nervously awaited as arrival of his flight was announced. The
time dragged on as she watched each person come through the doors of
Customs. The first person through the doors looked at Karen and smiled
"nope its not him he said with a grin" Karen chuckled and thought "oh
my am I that obvious?" She looked around at others awaiting thier
loved ones, and she heard the doors to custom open again. She looked
up and a few other passengers came through. Karen didn't realize she
was holding her breath at first then slowly released it when Lee wasn't
through there yet.

A little fellow came up to her and smiled saying "nope I'm not him",
Karen laughed with this man and asks "Am I that obvious" Laughing he
says "Yes, you are", and so they struck up conversation as they waited.

"I'm Mike," he said and he stuck out his hand.

"Karen," she replied with eyes looking towards the doors, her hand
automatically fitting into his in a handshake. Both grateful for the
company, yet wishing that he would leave her alone.

"There is still quite a line at the customs desk so he may be a while
yet" stated her new found friend matter of factly. "I'm waiting for my
wife to pick me up so I hope that you don't mind if I wait with you."

"Oh sure, I'm glad for the company. thanks," said karen distractedly.

"So how long you two been married?" Mike asks straight out.

Karen breaks out in laughter, "Oh we are not married. In fact she says
you are not going to believe this....."

Mike grins as Karen begins to tell him this is the first time they are
meeting. Mike was surprised and was excited. He offered to take thier
first photo together and email it to her.

The doors finally open and there was Lee, dressed in his black cowboy
hat, dress shirt , jeans and cowboy boots is walking towards her.
Karen's hand goes to her heart, her eyes brim with tears as she half
walks, half runs to him.

"Oh my god, you are here, you are really here", she throws her arms
around his neck and he kisses her gently. He looks over to Mike whom
is smiling ear to ear and his camera in hand, Mike walks over to the
happy couple and Karen introduces them.

Karen laughs outloud as she recalled how strange it was introducing Lee
to a man that shared his flight from Minneapolis. Karen continued to
reflect on the limousine ride back to her house.

"Come on Lee, our chariot awaits" Karen smiles as she nods her head
towards the limousine that awaited them. Lee was amazed as Karen led
the way to the white limousine. Inside the mood lights were on and the
stereo played soft romantic melodies. Karen sat across from Lee
admiring him and yet amazment that he was finally here. Karen knew
that Lee was a shy man, and battled within herself whether to make the
first move.

Her thoughts jumbled together "oh God, he's handsome, hmm I wonder
should I kiss him again? Dare I kiss him? Oh my god, does he even
like me in person? Shit what is he thinking? Is he thinking? ha
stupid of course he is thinking, WHAT IS HE THINKING? she screams to
herself, Oh crap he hates me, he isn't looking at me. oh wait there he
is.

"So, Lee would you like a glass of wine?" asked Karen. Lee blushes and
says please.

Karen pours Lee a glass of white wine passing it to him and pours
herself another. She sips her wine as Lee downs his in one mouthful.
Karen contemplated what his thoughts might be, and watched him. Lee,
himself had "oh my God" thoughts racing through his own mind he kept
telling himself "don't be shy, don't be shy" as he slammed the glass of
wine down his throat. "I wonder what she's thinking, oh boy, now
what?" he silently asked himself.

Karen looked at Lee and smiled, sliding over she asked him shyly if she
could said beside him. 'Well better get this fantasy off the ground'
she thought to herself as the limousine slowly moved towards the
'romantic cruise through the park'. Karen placed her hand on Lee's
lap, again causing Lee to redden in the face. She takes his hand and
places it on her thigh, wondering if he will move it upwards as the
fantasy they both knew so well suggested. Lee's hand remained frozen
in place as Karen chuckled to herself. " oh boy he must think I am such
a trollop, oh well here goes nothing" Karen helps Lee out while his
brain slowly starts to function again, "oh she likes me she likes me"
his mind taunts him in a singsong way. Lee's hand with Karen's
assistance travels under her suede skirt to what where his mind had
been travelling over the past. Wondering how she would feel.

Lee shifted in his seat, more to adjust himself as his member strained
against his denim clad hips. Lee's eyes grew wide when his fingers
touched the center of her womaness, "OH MY GOD" he thought to himself
as he drew his hand away. Lee was shocked somewhat however greatly
pleased that she played right into thier fantasy of not wearing
anything beneath her skirt. Lee's heart raced. Karen eased off
wondering if perhaps she went to far so fast, then in her mind
justified "too far too fast? Hell I've been waiting for this moment
with Lee forever". Karen chuckled at Lee's reaction, and offered him
another glass of wine, which he readily accepted.

The limousine continued through the park as Karen pointed out to Lee
through the windows, some of the various histroical buildings as they
passed. After a few moments, Karen asks "So Lee, uhhhh seeing how you
ummmmm copped a feel, I think it well uh only fair that.." as her hand
reached over and slid up Lee's thigh. 'KAREN YOU MORON, copped a
feel???????? sheesh she thought to herself. Oh well, oh my, he's uh
well he is responding...."

Karen drew her hand away, and looked away. Lee feeling a little more
braver, drew Karen in closer to him, lifting her chin, his lips met
hers. His tongue parting her lips and grazing the underside of her
bottom lip, tickling and teasing. Her tongue touching his lightly,
savouring the feel of his breath against hers.

Both minds screaming "oh my god", Karen and Lee wanting one another
right there, yet both knowing that the car would be stopping at Karen's
house soon. Their kisses filled with promise of what the night will
have in store for them.

to be continued.........
