Click here to read the first 75 lines of the story Doesn稚 scare me Not as much as the emptiness In this crowded room With all those secrets. I hear Daniel痴 voice, laughing, with her She痴 moving in on me I知 alone, over here, while she Laughs. How dare she. Possessive traits absorb me now. Anger fills my head I知 writing on a napkin What the hell Have I become? I miss the touch of paper Between my fingers on the table I miss my past lover, his words I miss my best friend, his open ear I miss Cory, his touch I miss the conversations across from me At the table Now empty and alone Vacant chair pushed in. Table for one please Yes, I知 all alone Invitation to join another I decline because I知 jealous Of her, her bouncy Hair, go away. Stop staring at me I知 a poet writing on a napkin Paper, shitty, napkins My ½ eaten lunch in front of me My best friend behind me Past lover to my right Empty chair in front of me Heavy heart inside My surroundings begin to cave Quickly now, As the clock gets closer to one My time to leave Back to hell. I need to get some paper Real paper, to Write on She probably thinks I知 rude now For declining such an offer Tell me why I care.... Dear Cory, where are you? Making sales Joking around with your friends Thinking of me Thinking of you Thinking of me. Although I am preoccupied I miss you baby Sitting across from me Telling me your secrets Invading my soul I miss you. Tweet
