Click here to read the first 75 lines of the story *********************************** Tomorrow or the next day, he’d come looking once again. She tried not to wonder just what would be asked of her then. *********************************** But for now she smiled at him, raised her skirt another inch. She arched a brow and cocked her hips, inviting him to touch. *********************************** She walked with him to some hotel, never looking in his bag. She thought only of the money he meant, not curious as to what he’d want. *********************************** When he pulled out the handcuffs, she extended her wrists and sighed. She hoped vaguely that it would be over soon. When next he extracted a blindfold, she nodded and closed her eyes. When at last he removed a knife, she could not see or move. *********************************** She never had a chance to scream, could only, in silence, die... Still dreaming of the freedom that lay beyond the city’s gates. *********************************** Her eyes behind their veil of darkness closed a final time And the young girl’s fragile body set free her strengthened soul.
