You're the only one I trust to this task.” She nodded her assent. “There is a release for the coroner to take my fingerprints and send them to the FBI to verify my authorship of this document. Send the original to Special Agent Pierce in the D.C. Bureau.” He watched her face as she carefully memorized everything, just as he knew she would. His eyes glittered under heavy eyebrows. “This single item has been like a time bomb in that deposit box. It details the doings of some very important people that haven't held this country's interests in very high regard.” She glanced at the ECG monitor anxiously as it began beeping irregularly, but his firm grasp on her wrist held her still. His eyes closed now, he spoke wearily, “It's not for me to tell you what is in this document, but I want you to understand how important this is. It's likely that this single document will return the government of this country to its rightful place; as an employee of... the will of the people and not just the wealthy, the powerful....” His voice trailed off. His voice fainter now, she leaned closer to hear. “ ‘For no servant is greater than his master'” she made out. The ECG was reporting bad news and his grip went slack. “I...I love you, Angie” He said in the barest whisper. “I love you, Uncle John” She said, almost crying. She saw his lips relax into a smile at the same moment the ECG monitor stopped beeping. She noted the time and date for posterity and gazed out the window at the fall leaves for a very long time. With a loved one nearby is not a bad way to go. And so passed John Fitzgerald Kennedy, 35th president of the United States. The date: November 22nd 2010.
