help you with, huh?”

“James?”

“James Wilcox. You do know James, don't you?”

“Not as James, Mr. Wind. We keep ourselves on a more professional
stance. I've only known him as Mr. Wilcox for the short time that I
have known him.”

“Ah, well anyway, what's this business that seems so important to Mr.
Wilcox?” Winds snide way of pronouncing Wilcox's name another play at
trying to make me uncomfortable.

“well sir,” I say as I put my brief case on his desk. Looking into his
eyes as I do so I can see he's not happy with my old brief case making
contact with his precious desk. I laugh a little and look out the
window as I open the latches and lift the lid, “It's a business matter
of great importance for you certainly. You may not realize this but the
papers in my brief case here are going to change your life.”

Wind cocks his head to the left and looks at me with a confused smirk on
his face. I ignore his look for a moment getting together what I need
in my briefcase and looking a t the photo's on the walls. Two children
and a middle aged wife together in one picture and just one other
picture on the walls. It's some kind of motivational poster in a cheap
frame. I guess he spent all his money on the desk.

I pick up the photo I have in my case and toss it onto the desk in front
of him. Wind looks down at it pushes himself back from the desk.

“Why do you have a picture of me? What business do you have that you
need to have a picture of me with you?” he stammers. Standing up from
his big chair.

“Sit down, Mr. Wind. And calm down. It's just my business to know the
people I come in contact with., sir.” He looks at me and takes another
step back from his desk, then laughs and sits back in his comfortable
chair. At this point my ass is burning from the chair I am sitting in.

“So, what's going on? Is James fucking with me? Sending you in here as
some kind of joke?” He asks steepling his fingers before his face.

“I assure you, Mr. Wind, This is business of the utmost importance,” I
say as I stand with the silenced Sig Sauer P228. Pulling the trigger
before I am completely on my feet, a .40 slug barrels through Mr. Winds
forehead, leaving a large hole in the back of his skull and a mess on
the back of his fancy chair where the slug has wedged itself.

I put the Sig back in my briefcase and step around the desk to check his
pulse. Just precautionary. I know this man is quite dead, but it pays
to be careful and sure. His pulse is absent and I step back around his
desk again, grab my briefcase and make my retreat.

I open the door to his office slowly, checking the hall for his
employees. Not a soul in the hall. I turn the lock on the knob and shut
the door stepping out into the hall and down towards the plump
receptionist.

“That was fast,” she says with a smile.

“Yes, ma'am. Just a little quick business that couldn't wait," I say as
I straighten my tien. "But it wasn't going to take very long. You have
a nice day.”

Making my way back to the elevator I see the brunette from the elevator
step out of an office numbered 2005. She's walk across the room and
makes her way back towards the bathroom again. I chuckle to myself
thinking what she must have had for breakfast this morning, as I push
the elevator call button.

Once on the street again I hail a cab and ask him to take me to Grand
Central Station.
