Click here to read the first 75 lines of the story doesn't want to, be healed. ~ Her hopes aren't high. Faded in the distance of her lonely mind. They walked out the door same time he did. Her only hope now is to survive each day as it came. She's cold to the touch, and hard to the core. Life has dealt a fatal blow. There is no return. ~ She wishes no longer. Wishes are for those who believe. To base something so important on wishes seemed senseless to her. Emotions are hidden behind a face masked with plastic smiles. ~ She prays to God above, longs for Him to end her suffering, yearns for a something more. But realizes it's not to be when you hold onto the past. Beautiful and serene, lonely and betrayed, unforgiven and forgettable, she looks out the window at life. ~ Still she waits, dreams, hopes, wishes, and, prays to be the object of ~ My desire. © May 14, 2008 by Lori Tweet
