A spiritual poem to celebrate Good Friday. | |||
Click here to read the first 75 lines of the story Call out to Me and I will save you.” ~ I wake from the dream to hit my knees to pray. I ask to be forgiven for going astray. I ask to be loved each and every day. I ask for His mercy to never go away. Tell Him, once again, I will obey. Where once my heart was weighed by the wages of sin, it now wants to play with the righteousness of men. ~ Many years ago, He was slain. Gave up His life so we all might gain. Let the blood of Christ flow through every vein. Let His grace wash away the stain of transgressions. Allow His mercy to rain down on your soul. Let His spirit be the champagne. A numbing drink to relinquish your pain. Look to the cross for the hope you wish to obtain. For only He can offer you a new domain. © March 20, 2008 by Lori Tweet
