Some didn't like the first part, some won't like this part either. Don't read if you offend easily! | |||
Click here to read the first 75 lines of the story I hate this term when it's applied to people who are born to parents who aren't married. My niece was born out of wedlock. Is she a bad person because of it? No, her mother had been separated from her second husband for years, but never divorced. When she met my brother she started divorce proceedings. She wasn't divorced when my niece was born long enough to be considered my brother's child. Her first legal name was my ex-s-i-l's ex-husband's last name. My brother had to adopt his own daughter because the laws of my state. She's termed a bastard because of this. Is it her fault? No, it was her mother's! If she had gotten her divorce before hand, my brother would have been allowed to marry her and it would be over and done with. But, because of her situation and the one to follow this wasn't done. To be honest I don't even know if my niece knows all this. Should she? I don't know, maybe and maybe not. I'm glad it's not my decision. Just because you hate someone doesn't mean they are a bastard. You probably have good reasons to hate them. I really don't like my ex, and have more reasons than I can count to call him this, but it doesn't make him a bastard. Not liking someone shouldn't be just case to call them names. You really shouldn't hate anyone. There are just a hand full of people I despise. But none of them are bastards, or bitches, because I don't like them. And just because I don't like someone doesn't mean everyone shouldn't either. I may not like them because they rub me the wrong way. You may like them because they do. I may not like them because their choice of lifestyle, you may because of it. What it all boils down too is a matter of opinion. If you think someone is a bastard, for whatever reasons, it's your decision to feel that way. The same goes for me. But, is that really enough reason to call someone a word like this. Bitch is okay because it's overused and people are more acceptable now days to the word. I don't know if this one is.
