Click here to read the first 75 lines of the story never be accounted for and remain lost and missing...all these thoughts was coming in flashes , he was hearing his heart beat in his head fear does that to a man he thinks to himself...which old haunt would be stireing tonight he thinks, which one will give me the fear of death , will they chase a man till he die Flint wonders , will they scream the like many old demons do or will they follow him making no noise and rush him and take him down like a black bear would do a man ,,his speed got faster as he pondered and the louder he was hearing his own heart beat ,this was troubling and makeing him feel even worst .he was getting closer and closer to the graveyard the closer he got the faster he was walking and then walking turned into running and as he run faster he begain hearing a chain dragging steel against steel , the faster he ran the louder it got .. he zoomed passed the old graveyard in a flash , if this haunt that was behind him dragging a chain was going get him it would have to catch him at a full run he is thinking to himself as he run he seem to regain lighting speed now ...the lantern was jingling and he had a tight grip on it so he could make out where the wagon path was...flint was running for his life and that was a fact and the faster he run the louder the chain rattling was getting at last he made it to his shack and just nearly busted down the door falling down on the floor tuckered out there before his wife she hollored what on earth is wrong she said looking excited at him and him busting threw to the inside of the shack,... he was getting his breath hard and then he said” a haunt dragging a chain got after me at the old graveyard ,, and it nearly caught me he gasped,,...you fool husband there on the floor is your haunt she said” while picking up a large hand full of bright silver steeples ,that had fell out of his pocket as he fell down after busting down the door, you beat everything she said” looking at the large number of fenceing steeples she has in her hand. well at least that helped me get pass that old haunted graveyard his chuckled” at his own words. your stew is warm on the cook stove you fool or should i say you coward.....flint smiles at his wife and like grandap Turner alway said: all is well that end Tweet
