As she lies and spreads her legs, one knee against my crotch, one against the ground or blanket underneath rolled up, no rocks or roots underneath, she wasn't cold or anything. I could've stared into her eyes and seen the stars, like a pane of glass, making her empty and meaningless, nothing beside me, nothing warming me, as I live alone on a speck as a speck.
