"Be quiet," she hissed then looked desperately for a hiding place.
Not having anywhere to go, she hid behind the door, waiting for the
kidnapper to come charging through. Seconds later he did, snarling in
his rage and frustation.

"Becky," he growled and smashed through his trailer into the bedroom
then roared, "Becky!" Hearing the malice in his voice struck terror
into her heart and she wasn't even who he was looking for. There was
the sound of glass breaking and heavy objects being thrown, he was in a
blind rage. Then he gave a frightening bellow and flew out the trailer
door again. Connie gave a sign of relief then her fear rise as she
thought about Shina.

Shina was trying to figure out what to do when the man burst out of the
trailer, his face almost purple with rage. Shina followed him again as
he raced back to the car. Once there, he slid into the back seat and
laid low, as if to wait for his escapee.

Shina took a deep breath, she didn't know what she was going to do but
it had to be something radical. Taking another deep breath, she turned
herself into a chameleon like creature, blending into her background.
Then she opened the door, making him jump. The shotgun was pointed at
her but he didn't shoot cause he couldn't see her. Still not sure of
what she was going to do, she laid a hand on him.

The effect was instant, he seemed to freeze and gave a soft groan. The
gun fell from his hand and his head lulled back. She knew she was
absorbing his lifeforce but she had no intention on stopping. The man
was a monster, she knew what he was capable of and he couldn't be
allowed to live. His skin grayed and the groan became a wheeze. Then
his eyes were open but nothing was registering in them. Her hand still
touched him but she couldn't feel anything and she knew that she had
ended his life.

She fell back onto the ground, becoming visible again. It was difficult
not to become sick but she wouldn't allow herself. The bastard had
deserved to die, it was only right that he did but it didn't make her
feel any better. Then she did the only thing she could, she rose and
began to pull his heavy body out of the car. His body weighed like a
huge stone and she almost thought she wouldn't be able to move him.
Then she summoned a hidden resevoir of strength and pulled him out into
the woods. Once that was done, she made her way back to the trailer.

"Connie, are you guys alright?" she called, crossing her fingers that
they were alright.

"Shina, oh my god," her friend leapt out from behind the door and threw
her arms around her, "I was so afraid." Then she let go, ran to a
cabinet and threw it open. A very young girl emerged, her cheeks tear
streaked and her bottom lip still quivering.

When they returned home, Shina's whole world seemed to have turned
upside down. She was suddenly aware of why she had been blseed with
everything, they were meant to help people out. Save young children
from horrible torture, resuce younglings from being murdered, make sure
that bad people wouldn't be able to harm innocents again. With that in
mind, she went to sleep with a clean concious.
