He's in the corridor, on his way in to check on you.” “Check on me for what? Has he read my work? Did you tell him I'm a published author? Was he impressed?” “Yes, he said you impressed him very much, but for what, I'm not supposed to say.” “Then when can I leave? I need to get home to finish my novel. I can't do it from here. It's too hard with all the distractions.” “Soon. As soon as you get better.” “But I'm great! I told you. With any more adulation from my fans, or if I had any more talent, I'd burst!” “Yes, I know. We've been through that. Just be patient and take your medicine.” “By medicine, I suppose you mean that I should be swallowing all those lies you've been feeding me, but I won't! You'll never have me believing you! Never!” So anyway, here I am, stuck in this God forsaken hospital writing this out to you from the computer lab, when I should be home getting some serious writing done. I only wish my wife knew what I have to go through to get a good story drawn up and completed. And this constant argument we have going on about my friends is just ridiculous. Really though, all that matters is that I know the truth and they know the truth and now you know the truth too... right? Tweet
