Click here to read the first 75 lines of the story parts and began the dash around the building. They flew past the little group of Validus members. Glancing back, Cap saw them running inside, probably to call for backup. She picked up speed and pulled ahead of the two Volos with her. Her feet pounded against the concrete beneath. She felt like her legs were on fire. Calls from the jailed Volos ahead made her move even faster, to the limit of her abilities. To her surprise, the jail was unguarded. The Validus must have thought that the Volos had given up on any rescue plan, since it was probably only a few minutes before the Darkness came. “Not my squad,” she thought to herself. “We leave no Volo behind.” Cap touched the jail just as Dipper's threesome came around the side of Validus headquarters. “JAILBREAK!” her entire squad screamed at the top of their lungs. Thrill and excitement was evident in all of their voices. Suddenly one side of the square, barred jail burst open, followed by a huge blast of air that sent everyone inside flying out. She'd done it. She'd freed the trapped Volos. “A whole squad was in there, Cap! A whole squad!” someone shouted. Angry Validus began emerging from behind the building. “Everyone back to Headquarters!” she screeched. Her voice was unusually high-pitched with excitement and passion for the game. The now massive group of Volos scattered and raced back. Everyone was a clear thirty feet ahead of all of the approaching Validus. Cap, who reached Headquarters first, did a headcount at the front door while everyone returned either one by one or in small groups. She was prepared to go scowling for anyone who hadn't made it back. There was no need. Everyone made it back. Tweet
