continuation of Karen's reflections. Karen moves forward in her thoughts of her first meeting with Lee.

at the moment so she watched the screen names and the conversations 
flicker past on the screen. She glanced over at the room list of all 
the chatters, noticing the quiet ones or the ones that perhaps were off 
in private chats. Karen joined in the chat's jovial bantering, ever so 
often she noticed that a show of laughter would come from one of the 
newcomers in the room after some comment she would make, or a comment 
in support or in reference to her own. 

Karen liked the attention she was getting from this unknown person. She
had made friends online both males and females, but in her heart she 
felt there was something about this one that kept her curiosity peaked. 
Karen did not know that this man she had begun to chat with was the man 
that would capture her heart, and touch her soul deeper than she had 
ever imagined. Karen never knew what they would go through and just how 
far they would go or that after several years they would still be 
together. 

Lee was his name, he requested a private chat as he was new to this
whole chat room concept and was getting a little confused with all the 
witticisms and conversations. Karen accepted his invitation and 
together they became involved in their own world. They identified with 
one another on common ground of separation, marriages that lacked 
something they couldn't place. They talked about their children, their 
hopes for them. They discussed their work, and their belief system. The 
time flew quickly as Karen and Lee continued. Karen was flying with 
adrenaline as she felt the connection to Lee building as she recognized 
herself being mirrored in his thoughts about life and what it has to 
offer, what it should offer in relationships. 

Pleased when Lee asked her for her email address, she supplied it to
him. She was shocked at herself for sharing with him what she shared, 
but went with the flow feeling comfortable and content with sharing 
herself with him. Disappointed that it was time to bid one another 
goodnight, she had something to look forward to with his promise of an 
email. 

Josie quickly popped in a private message eager to hear about Karen's
newly found friend. 

Josie - " Welcome back!!! Wow you were busy, so what had you so
engrossed that you ignored us? Give me the goods and all the gory 
details, did you have cyber sex???? lmao" 

Karen - " Well sorry to disappoint you sweetie, he was very sweet. His
name is Lee, he is also separated, he is in the health profession, 36 
years old, 2 kids, he's 6 ' 2, blue eyes and black hair. We talked 
about ourselves etc..." 

Josie - " Damn girl you are boring lol, but he sounds sweet, lol did he
send you his picture or did he tell you his description after you sent 
him your picture? lmao" 

Karen - " No, he has my email addy though, and I will send him a picture
later after I get his address from him." 

Josie - " lol good luck with him, DAMN!!!!! Kids are fighting yet again
I'd better blast and break it up. Sometimes I feel like a referee not a 
mother" 

Karen - " okay girlie, I'll talk with you later" 

Josie - " Bye" 

That night as Karen went to bed, she thought about her conversation with
Lee. She smiled and looked forward to the email he promised to send. 

It was nearly a month before she had heard from Lee. Every day Karen
would check her email and each time she was disappointed to find none. 
Then one day as she was sitting at her computer she receives an email 
notification from an address she did not recognize visually but her 
heart soared and she immediately knew deep down it had to be from Lee. 

"Every day I need you even more, and the night time too, there's no way
I could ever let you go, even if I wanted to" 

SUBJECT : PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!!! LET THIS BE YOU 

UH... HELLO KAREN??? PLEASE LET THIS BE YOU. I LOST YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS
AND I TRIED EVERY VARIATION OF OF YOUR ADDRESS. I WOULD LOVE TO TALK 
WITH YOU AGAIN. PLEASE I HOPE THAT THIS IS YOU. EMAIL ME BACK IF IT IS 
AND IF NOT I AM SO DANG SORRY FOR DISTURBING YOU. WELL THANKS, 

LEE 

Karen burst out laughing, mouthing a quick thank you God, she
immediately responded to Lee's email plea 

SUBJECT: OMG FINALLY 

HI LEE, 

THANK YOU, I THOUGHT YOU DROPPED OFF THE FACE OF THE INTERNET, OR WORSE
EVEN THAT YOU WERE A FIGMENT OF MY IMAGINATION. I'VE BEEN WONDERING 
ABOUT YOU. TELL YOU WHAT, DOWNLOAD INSTANT MESSENGER, THAT WAY WE CAN 
TALK WITHOUT GOING TO A CHAT ROOM.
