Some marriages are made in heaven. Other are, well, off the mark a bit. | |||

He figured that if it weren't for the marriage to her that he would be free to do what he wanted and go where he wanted. She dragged him along to family affairs and would have a terrible time the whole evening. When she returned from talking with her family about various affairs he would ask what that was all about. She would say that he wouldn't understand and didn't bother to tell him anything. She treated him as if he was beneath her. As she sat there reading her book, he had noticed that she hadn't turned the page in the last thirty minutes. She had the book in her face so that she wouldn't have to look at him. He had the solution. The poker for the fireplace leaned against his chair. He liked to tend the fire. He could easily take the poker and with one clean thrust pierce her chest. She would never know what was coming. Morganna also thought of the gun. It was sitting in the drawer of the end table near her chair. The safety was off. One quick movement and that would be the end of her torment. This was her one moment and she wasn't going to let it pass. Quickly she opened the drawer and took the gun out. At the same time, Ralph thought that there would be no time like the present. He reached for the poker. "I'll see you burn, witch!" "Maybe you should think before you speak, dog!" Morganna stood out of her chair and raised the gun. Ralph had leaned to the side to reach for the poker. She fired the gun and missed him. Ralph then held the poker and threw it like a spear at where she sat and pierced the chair. Morganna quickly lunged at him and didn't want to waste another chance. Her arms extended and her hands grabbed hold of his shoulders. Digging her feet into his legs, Morganna threw her head back and exposed her teeth. Her fangs gleaming, she plunged them into his neck and bit down hard. Vampire teeth come in handy in these situations. Ralph howled in pain and terror. His fist came up and struck Morganna on the side of her head, sending her flying to the floor. His hand touched the spot where she had bit him. He took his hand away and saw his blood. "You're going to pay for that." Over his shoulder in the window the full moon re-emerged from the behind the clouds. The light shone through the window and fell upon Ralph. Suddenly, he fell to the floor clutching his stomach, seized by excruciating pain. His hair grew longer. His face became darker. During his lycanthropic transformation he tore his shirt off and exposed straight course hair. He rose snarling, hot drool dripping from his snout, lips curled up exposing his canine teeth. Morganna again rushed to him ready for an attack, but he was ready for her. As she flew, she suddenly stopped in her tracks. Ralph had presented a large clove of garlic and held it up into her face. The look of fear in her face was obvious and she began to breathe harder. "I know you only too well, my dear," Ralph said with the garlic to protect him. He stepped forward, edging closer. Morganna stepped back, panting. Suddenly, she couldn't take it any more. The panting turned to a more controlled breathing, building up in tension. She was walking back towards the bed and before he knew it, Morganna ripped off her dress, exposing her breasts. The heat of the moment had caught up with them. Ralph tore off of what remained of his clothes and they both fell into bed. Their screams of passion sounded like the primal growls and snarls of animals in heat. Their act of love was raw, unadulterated. Furies pent up for time had ways of expressing themselves. The only light that shone on them was from the moon through the window. It reminded them of their first night together. Afterwards, they sat again in their chairs, back into their routines. She thought, well, it's not so bad. He is the most excitement I've had in all these years. Who knows? Maybe things could work out. At the same time, Ralph thought, she is cold, but it's very different. I like to feel the smoothness of her skin. She amuses me for now, but who knows how it will turn out? After all, marriage is until death do us part... Tweet
